Good digestion makes an important contribution to well-being. Whether bloating, constipation or diarrhea: digestive problems are uncomfortable and can sometimes cause severe discomfort.
Temporary disturbances of the digestion are usually harmless - causes can be about wrong nutrition or lack of movement. We've put together 10 tips for you that can help you deal with digestive problems.

The so-called carrot soup after Moro was once a proven home remedy for diarrhea in babies and children. The effectiveness has now even been proven by studies: When cooking the carrots certain substances that prevent attachment of the germs to the intestinal wall. So the germs are eliminated faster.
The preparation is simple: boil 500 grams of peeled carrots in one liter of water for one hour, then puree, make up to one liter with boiled water and add three grams of cooking salt.

In case of severe flatulence, feeling of fullness or regurgitation, medications with the active ingredients Simeticon or Dimeticon can be used for the short-term relief of the symptoms.
They have a defoaming effect and can thus reduce the accumulation of air in the digestive system. However, like all medicines, they should not be used permanently without medical consultation.

The same applies to the intestine as to the whole body: sitting a long time makes you sluggish. Movement, on the other hand, can promote digestion. A brisk walk after dinner can not only avoid a midday low, but also activate digestion.
6. Coffee against feeling of fullness
Coffee also stimulates intestinal activity and can help with constipation. Caffeine also stimulates the production of stomach acid and thus acts against feeling of fullness. This also applies to some extent to alcohol - it also has a relaxing effect on the muscles of the stomach.
However, this effect is only apparent in very small amounts - high percentage inhibits digestion, however. After a rich meal, you should drink an espresso rather than a digestive schnapps. If you have a sensitive stomach or suffer from heartburn, you should avoid coffee and alcohol altogether.
